Ruby Viola Rogers, 94, of Fountain Hills passed away June 15, 2014.

Born in Milo, Mo. on Feb. 23, 1920, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Marine Captain Earl W. Rogers and former Army Captain Bruce R. Rogers.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, of Fountain Hills. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Ruby moved to Fountain Hills in 1998 to be near her son, Bruce, who was an early resident of the town. She had an active career in real estate, only recently retiring in 2010.

She was a member of both the American Legion Auxiliary Fountain Hills Unit 58 and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Sylmar, Calif. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Ariz.

Private interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Sylmar, Calif.
