Vivian Sovern, 63, 2705 S. H St., died Monday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Born April 5, 1938, in Elwood, she was the daughter of James and Mary (Goodnight) McTaggart. She married Jack Sovern July 22, 1956. She was previously employed at Fettig Canning Company, Carter Supermarket and Marsh and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tina Baker of Anderson and Amber Cole of Elwood; two sons, Jeff Sovern of Elwood and Scott Sovern; a sister, Betty Fuller of Fairmount; three brothers, James McTaggart of Tipton and Jess McTaggart and Dwayne McTaggart. of Elwood; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jackley-Landrum Funeral Home, with the Revs. David Taylor and James and Ella Nichols officiating. Burial will be In Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
