Services for Raymond Henry Dado, 76, of Red Oak, were Friday, December 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Rev. James Oberg, pastor of First Covenant Church officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Dado died Tuesday, December 25, 1990 at his residence south of Red Oak following an extended illness with cancer.
Mr. Dado was born September 4, 1914 in Montgomery County to William and Molly Rasof Dado. He was born, raised and lived all his life on the same farm south of Re dOak. He was a farmer, mechanic, and welder and a member of the First Covenant Church of Red Oak. On March 3, 1936, he married Elizabeth Marie Olson in Red Oak, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, Ralph and Robert, both of Red Oak, and Richard Dado of Duluth, Minnesota; four daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Wally) Johnson of Red Oak; Katherine (Mrs. Gary) Reddick and Susan (Mrs. Dennis Prock, both of Independence Missouri, Joan (Mrs. Bob( England of Alexandria, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Edwards of Red Oak.
Memorial are suggested to either the First Covenant Church or the Montgomery County Hospital.
