Bess (Browne) Wright passed away peacefully on June 19, 2014 at the age of 93. Bess was born in New York City to Anna Elizabeth Pointing and Lee Thomas Browne. She moved to Burlingame, CA at the age of two and was a resident of Concord, CA for 60 years. She was educated at St. Elizabeth's and Fremont High School in Oakland. Beloved wife of Wendall Wright for 53 years, loving mother to Kathleen Williams (Larry), devoted grandmother (GMa) to Sean Williams (Michaelyn), and great-grandmother to Reese and Aiden Williams. Bess was predeceased in death by her brothers Edward and Thomas Browne. During her career, Bess was employed by MGM movie studios, Alameda Naval Weapons Station, and was a secretary for over 20 years with the Mt. Diablo Unified School Dist. Bess will be remembered as a loving, kind wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We will remember her bright Irish eyes and wonderful smile. Mom, you will be Forever in our Hearts! Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27 at 11:00 am at Queen of Heaven Cemetery , 1965 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette (925-932-0900).
