George D. Anderson, 77, died Sept. 20 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Jeff Davis County and lived in Vidalia most of his life before moving to Savannah. He was a World War II veteran and employed with Piggy Wiggly Southern for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Anderson of Savannah, a daughter, Pamela Anderson of Seminole, FL, two sons, Jeffery D. Anderson of Savannah and Michael G. Anderson of Fort Bragg, N.C., two sisters, Julia Hill of Fayetteville and Lena Hunter of Kilgore, TX, two brothers, Talmadge Anderson of Hazlehurst and Johnny Anderson of Kilgore, TX, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hazlehurst Church of God with burial in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
