Dennis passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, age 67 years. The son of Henry and Caroline Bode he was born September 28, 1946 in Sanborn, Iowa. He married Catherine T. Dault in Jamaica in 1985 and she survives him. Dennis was a veteran and served with the US Air Force. He retired from Powertrain in Bay City after 35 years of dedicated service and with his wife Cathy co-owned, Michigan Lawn and Garden and A 2 Z Cleaning. Dennis was an avid outdoorsman and fantastic ball player. He enjoyed fishing on walleye tournaments, deer hunting, baseball, soft ball and blooper ball.

Surviving is his wife, Cathy, children, Scott Bode and Jason (Stacy) Byce, grandchildren: Jordan, Jacob and Jayden Bode, Aurora, Ariana and Alexia Byce, his mother, Caroline Bode-Kuiper, one brother, Ron (Ruth) Bode, two brother in-laws, Jere (Carol) Dault and Steve Dault, two sister in-laws, Marianne (Dan) VanDenBoom and Janet Laatsch and many very close nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Henry Bode, one brother in-law, Tom Dault and his mother and father in-law, Wilma and Zephere Dault.
