Mrs. Bollinger was born Dec. 19, 1904, in DeWitt County, the daughter of Earle D. and Maude (Hartsock) Rainey. She married Vallie Bollinger on April 10, 1926, in Vandalia. He died Oct. 30, 1985.
Surviving is one brother, Earle Rainey of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Mrs. Bollinger taught 45 years in Clinton area schools. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, honorary teachers society; the Clinton Education Association, the Illinois Retired Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Clinton Business and Professional Women Club, the Clinton United Methodist Church and the Tri-C Class and Esther Circle of the church.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at Herington-Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Glen Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery, Maroa. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
