LAWLER—James T. Feeney, 60, Lawler livestock dealer, died suddenly at his home here Monday evening. Death was caused by heart disease, a physician said. Funeral services will likely be held Thursday morning.
Mr. Feeney was born Nov. 23, 1879, the son o£ Andrew and Mary Brannon Feeney. He was married to Josephine Galligan.
Surviving besides his widow are five children, Madonna, Mary, Lois, James, at home, and Sister M. Helen of Dubuque, and a brother, Leo.

James Thomas Feeney Dies Monday Evening, Funeral Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
James Thomas Feeney, prominent Lawler business man died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Monday evening at 10 o'clock. Mr. Feeney had apparently been in good health and was feeling find the retired at 9:45. Shortly after, he suffered a heart attack and lived but a few moments.
The deceased, son of the late Jane and Andrew Feeney, was born November 23, 1879 on a farm south of Lawler where he grew to manhood. He received his education in the Chickasaw County rural schools. On November 24, 1914 he was married to Josephine Galligan In Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at Lawler by the Rev. P. H. Ryan. They settled in Lawler where Mr. Feeney became a successful livestock dealer. In which occupation he was engaged at the time of his death.
The death of Mr. Feeney marks the passing of a splendid man. He was held in the highest esteem by all. To his family he was all that a husband and Father could be, kind, indulgent and devoted, ready to make any sacrifice for the comfort of those he loved most. Towards his friends and neighbors he was always considerate and ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word of encouragement. To his loved family circle and to his associates, his untimely death not only represents a great shock, but an irreparable loss, because in his death they have been bereft of the influence of one to whom they looked for advice. His memory will continue to be a guiding influence to those who loved him best and miss him most.
He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and died fortified by its rites. He was also in member the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mary, Madonna and Lois at home and Sister Mary Helen Marie of Mount Loretta, Dubuque, and one son, James at home, three sisters, Lilly and Mae Feeney and Mrs. Tom Cooney of Lawler, two brothers Leo of Lawler and Frank of Blue Earth, Minnesota.
His parents and two sisters, Catherine and Anna preceded him in death.
