She was the daughter of John Berry Treat Sr. (1776-1834) and Margaret Williams (1781-1870).

She married first, William Barker (1772-1849) on 15 Sep 1838 in Morgan County, Indiana. They had the following children:

Thomas J Barker (1839-1862)
James Samuel Thomas William Barker (1842-1917)
Elizabeth Jane "Bettie" Barker-Ott(1844-1936).

After William Barker died, she married Preston Burton Rowland (1828-1905) on 13 Jan 1849 in Morgan County, Indiana. They had the following children:

William Edward Roland (1849-1909)
Margaret Ann (Rowland) Good (1854-1942)
Samuel S Rowland (1857-)
Alexander Campbell Rowland (1859-1912)
John Anderson Rowland (1861-1913)

She was laid to rest in an unmarked grave. The cemetery information is from her death certificate.
