Vince served in the U.S. Army from August, 1968 to July, 1970 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea) and the MKM (M-14) Medal.
Vince married Nancy Wojdyla on August 29, 2009 in Fremont and she survives. He worked for Green Bay Packaging until his retirement in November, 2013. Vince was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Life member of the VFW. He was a very patriotic person and loved movies, especially Military movies. He enjoyed cookouts, spending time with family and Christmas. Vince was a very caring and giving person and loved animals.
Vince is survived by his wife, Nancy Etzwiler; son, Greg (Annette) Etzwiler; siblings, Sharon (Rich) Ohms, Marcia Etzwiler (Susan Belden), Mike Etzwiler and Chris Etzwiler, all of Fremont, OH; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Loren Etzwiler.
Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH with a vigil at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, June 19, 2014, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd, Fremont, with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating.
Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont with Military Honors provided by the American Legion and V.F.W.
