Eugene W. Mecum is the son of Horace Thomas Mecum (1855-1924) and Isabelle "Bell" Asherbranner (1857-1949). Eugene is the twin brother of, Cecil Raymond Mecum 1899-1981). His other siblings are, as follows: Francis Erert Mecum, Vivian Mecum (1880-1955), Henry Otto Mecum (1882-1918). Ethel Mecum (1887-1954), Ray Mecum (1887-1892), Phillip Cohen Mecum ( 1890-1959), Emma Luemma Mecum (1892-1966), Cora Mecum (1895-1942), and Cecil Raymond Mecum (1899-1975). Eugene was married to Marie C. Robbins. Together they one son: Eugene Donald Mecum (1929-). Eugene was known for his large kerosene lamp collection.
