Clyde (Bill) Wallace, 83, of Greenfield died May 5, 2000, at Hancock Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1916, in Hancock County, he was the son of Elmer and Pearl (Hutchison) Wallace.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Mohawk United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Ina Frances Matlock, whom he married on Oct. 27, 1939; daughters Elaine Cox and Suzanne Hayes of Greenfield; brothers Dale "Spud" Wallace and Marvin "Mike" Wallace of Wilkinson; sisters Mary Alice Grinstead of Greenfield and Waneta Davis of Shelbyville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pasco Memorial Mortuary, with Dr. Tom Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
