Funeral services were held for Russel L. Larson on Tuesday, March 8, 1:30 p.m. at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. Burial was in God's Acre Cemetery.
Russell Lawrence Larson son of John and Amalia ( Anderson) Larson, was born November 15, 1913 in Fayette County, Iowa. He died March 5, 1988 in Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union, Iowa.
He attended the Clermont Schools. On March 15, 1935 he was married to Lillian Olson in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. They were the parents of 3 daughters.
Russel was a contractor and lived in several area with his family including Clermont, Cedar Rapids, Manchester, Texas, California, Oregon and Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his wife, who died July 13, 1985, 4 brothers, Edwin, Joseph, Harold, and Millard and three sisters, Mabel Peck, Alta Blood and Ida Arness.
He is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Wade of Westmont, Ill.; Sandra Larson of Mount Shasta, Calif. and Rebecca Reilly of San Francisco of Calif. ; three grandchildren, Cynthia Sterka, David and Sara Wade; one great grandson Kenneth Sterka; one brother John of West Union; two sisters Viola Arness of Decorah and Gladys Gulsig of Waterloo.
Casket bearers were Kenneth, Laverne, Edwin, Richard, Anton, Harold and Clarence Larson.
