Mrs. Lydia Ackley died this morning at 11:10 at the home of her son, Charles Ackley, at 314 Fremont Street, aged 94 years 7 months and 22 days. Old age and infirmities incident thereto were the causes.
Mrs. Ackley was a pioneer in Waterloo, and has watched the place grow from a straggling hamlet to the thriving city It now is. She was a good woman in all that term implies. A wide circle of friends will regret her departure from this life, but all will be consoled with the comforting assurance that she was faithful unto all things and will reap the reward of the good and true.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 in the horns, conducted by Rev. J. A. Earl. Interment in Fairview.
