Horace Vaughn Allison, 89, of Kirbyville, TX passed away Saturday, January 28, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
He was born February 2, 1916 in Linden, TX. His son James Allison, brother George Allison and sister, Lena Taylor preceded Horace in death.
A native of Beaumont he retired from Bethlehem Steel as pipe superintendent and had been a long time resident of Mount Union, TX.
Horace is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ellen Allison. Survivors include his son Tommy Allison and wife Sandra of Silsbee and daughter-in-law Kris Allison of Splendora, brother Bob Allison and Jackie of Houston, brother John C. Allison and Ivy of Fort Worth. Three grandchildren Kimberly Moore and husband Mike of Lumberton, Michelle Hardy and husband Tom of Silsbee, and Kurt Sistrunk and Norma of Galveston. Great grandchildren include Haley and Amber Moore, Jackson and Alex Hardy, Kyle and Marissa Sistrunk and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., January 30 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial to follow at Magnolia Springs Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, January 29 from 5:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
