Wilbur C. "Bill" Alexander, 69, Guernsey Road, Aspers, PA died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1944 in Shippensburg, PA the son of the late John T. and Mary Fleece Alexander. Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda Tressler Alexander.
Bill attended Biglerville High School. For 46 years he was employed at Dal-Tile Corp. until his retirement in 2012. He began at their Gettysburg plant but as his duties increased he became involved with all of their county plants.
He was a member of the Adams County Water Garden Club. Bill enjoyed gardening and the upkeep of his
lawn. He was also a NASCAR fan.
In addition to his wife Bill is survived by two sons; Todd Alexander and his significant other Rob Patterson of Frederick, MD, Brian Alexander and his wife Linda of Orrtanna, PA, five brothers and sisters; Virginia Long of Hanover, PA, Mary Wittle Alexander of Florida, John T. Alexander, Jr. of Kentucky, Mrs. Denny Frew of Gettysburg, PA, and Lewis Alexander of Aspers, PA. He was predeceased by three sisters; Theresa Osler, Janette Taylor and Susie Alexander.
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg, PA.
