Lena Holmberg Morgan, 56, former Melstone resident who moved to Billings about 15 years ago, died of cancer Thursday in Billings Deaconess Hospital. She had been in failing health since August.

She was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Sand Springs, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith. Her first husband, Norman Holmberg, died in 1959 in a farm accident.

She had worked as a cashier at the Skyview Terrace Restaurant at the Billings Airport.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Melstone Congregational Church. The Rev. Allen Menter and The Rev. Harold Tannehill will officiate. Burial will be in Musselshell Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Dave C. Holmberg of 4422 Vaughn Lane and Tommy Holmberg of Spokane, Wash,, two daughters, Mrs. Roger Mack and Mrs. Jim Chrlstensen, both of Melstone; eight brothers, Leonard Smith, of East Moline, Ill., Lester Smith of Kungston, Idaho, LeRoy Smith of Vancouver, Wash., Lucian Smith of Billings, Kim Smith of Mablon, Wash., Lewis Smith of Powell, Wyo., and Luther Smith of Roundup; two sisters, Mrs. Lorralne Smith of Great Falls, and Carole Smith of Billings; and 10, grandchildren.

Wler Funeral Home of Roundup is in charge of arrangements.
