Arthur Feldt "Art" Jones, 83, died at 4 PM Tuesday [Sept. 20,1988] in Americana Healthcare, where he had been a resident since November and ill for one year. Born June 9, 1905, in Lafayette, he lived at West Point before returning here 50 years ago. He married Edna A. Hess on Sept. 24, 1938, in Lafayette; she died April 18, 1988.
Mr. Jones was a painter al Alcoa for many years before retiring in 1970. He was a member and elder of Bethany Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of Masonic Lodge 129 at Odell and Alcoa 25-Year Club.
One brother, Ruben Jones of Lafayette survives; also several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
