He was born July 23, 1906, in Jonesboro to Willson T and Grace Fleming Adams, and had lived most of his life in Connersville. He retired From East Side Fuel Company here, where he was deliveryman.
Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Wells, whom he married April 11, 1928, in Marion; three sons, Leon of Connersville, Harry of Knoxville, TN, and Luther of Bargersville; two daughters, Mary Van Vlack of Columbus, OH, and Martha Hilbert of Greenwood; tow sisters, Martha Lunsford of Connersville and Josephine Hiles of Marion; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Milburn Jr., and infant daughter, Helen Pauline Adams; his parents, one brother, Russell, a sister, Georgia Lamb, and two grandsons.
