Hiram N. Strickler, 99, of the Mennonite Home, formerly of Mount Joy, died at the home Sunday following a lengthy illness.
He was the husband of Vera Naomi Herr Strickler. They observed their 77th anniversary in January.
Born in Mount Joy, he was a son of the late Hiram B. and Barbara Nissley Strickler.
A farmer, Strickler was a member of Landisville Mennonite Church.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Hiram H. of Sarasota, Fla.; three granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.
