Funeral of Mrs. Chandler
Concord, New Hampshire, March 23. The funeral of Mrs. Ann Caroline Chandler, wife of Hon. William E. Chandler of Washington, took place at the First Baptist Church this afternoon, the pastor, Rev. D.W. Faunce, officiating. A large and sympathizing assembly was present. Upon the casket containing the remains there were crosses and wreaths of exquisite flowers. The ceremonies were very touching and appropriate and constituted a fitting tribute to the memory of one whose pure life and beautiful character are embalmed in the hearts of all who knew her.

The people of Concord are pained to learn of the sudden death at Washington of Mrs. Ann C. Chandler, wife of Hon. William E. Chandler. The deceased was a daughter of the late Governor Gilmore and was a woman of remarkable energy of character and superior mental endowments. Her frank demeanor, kind sentiments and generous acts gained her many friends, who will deeply mourn her death. She leaves three children.
