Mr. Fowler was born February 19, 1932 in Tifton to the late Henry A. and Thelma Alberta Cosper Fowler. He had a distinguished military career, serving as a B-52 pilot in the United States Air Force. He was a recipient of the Air Medal, the Strategic Air Combat Crew of the Year, and a Vietnam veteran.
Mr. Fowler was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Airstream Club.
∼Lt. Col. Ret. USAF Kenneth C. Fowler, 82, of Tifton, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 22 at Fourth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens with full military honors by Moody Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors. Fowler, Marissa J. Fowler and Christina James; sisters, Brenda Rasmussen of Reston, VA, Helen Heaton of Anderson, SC and Verdie Pearl Brady of Sylvester.
