WEBSTER AVERA DIED AT NASHVILLE WEDNESDAY
He was a brother of former Sheriff Avera and a well-known citizen

Nashville, Ga., Nov. 17. Mr. Webster D. Avera, a pioneer citizen of this city, died here yesterday.
Mr. Avera had been in the café business here since the year 1905, and was one of the best known men of the county. Closing his business at the usual hour on the day of his death, he went to his home and upon arriving said to his wife, “I am choking,” though he went about his duties as if nothing serious was wrong. In a few minutes, supper was announced and Mr. Avera went to the table and after eating a few mouthfuls threw up his hands and leant back in his chair, saying to members of the family at the supper table, “I am dead,” as he fell back in his chair. Physicians hurried to the scene only to find that the man was dead. He was sixty three years old and a brother of I.C. Avera, ex-sheriff of this county. He is also survived by his wife, who prior to her marriage was Mattie May King. He is also survived by three grown sons and three grown daughters, both the girls and the sons are all married.
Mr. Orris Avera, Mr. Leonard Avera, Mr. Reason Avera and Ben Avera reside in and near town. The girls, Mesdames Pearlie Lord, Bessie McKinnon and Fannie Morris also live in this city. Mr. Avera had been a life-long member of the Primitive Baptist Church and the funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Starling, after which the burial will take place in the Nashville grave yard.
