Mrs. Ruble was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing and a master a raising flowers.
Mrs. Ruble is survived by two children, Clayton(Shirley) Ruble and Lavon (Garvice) Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Timmy (Patty) Ruble, Rusty (Karen) Ruble, Monty (Jeannie) Ruble, Shane (Vanessa)Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg, and April(Eric) Lowery of Frankfort; seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild;two sisters, Janis Cox of Lawrenceburg and Rose (Buddy) Collins of Wilmington, N.C.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Jewell Ruble and six sisters: Drucilla Ruble, Carlene Moffett, Thelma Abrams, Virginia Wells, Yolanda Sutherland and Doris Ruth Nethery.
Funeral services were Friday, June 13 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. and Bro. Terry Cooper officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Shelby County. Memorials are suggested as donations to Camp Calvary or Mt. Vernon Cemetery Fund.
