Mrs. Lina Edith Withers Dugan, 97, of 506 High Street, Brandenburg, died Friday, May 22, [1987] at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born in Meade County October 27, 1889, she was the daughter of the late John Henry & Amanda Jane Bennett Singleton. She was a retired school teacher, having taught for over 42 years. Survivors include a son, C.L. Withers III, Ekron. Mrs. Withers was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Julia Jane Dameron on July 22. Three grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 24, from the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. D.E. Jones officiating. Interment was in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Pallbearers were C.L. Withers III, Zech Dameron, Fredrick Rosenberger, Buddy Rosenberger, Jimmy Withers and Henry Withers.
