John Andrew was left handed and a binge drinker. He always carried a hatchet on his belt. He was reputedly with the mob that lynched William Jesse Green in Coryell County on Sept 26,1884. He may have been an associate of Cherokee Bill Babb. We will probably never know. He married Mrs Green (Jesse Greens widow) on Nov 5, 1885.
