Wife of Christian Carl Carstens
Mother of Constance Carol, Ariel Candace and Cedric Stephens Carstens

Blanche was a graduate of Grinnell (Iowa) College, class of 1891 and later the owner and developer of Camp Allegro, West Ossipee, New Hampshire - a summer camp for girls - from about 1916 to 1939.

Blanche was cremated in Bradenton and the ashes given to the family, but we do not know where the ashes were scattered. They may have been scattered in the Andrew Cemetery since so many of her McMeans grandparents, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews are buried here.
