SAN ANGELO ~ Cora Rose Jones was born April 23, 1929 to Grover U. Seaton and Alice Mae Mayberry Seaton in Red Mud, Dickins County [family lived in Kent County], Texas. She married Buford Ray Jones on April 10, 1947 in Seminole, Texas. Buford preceded her in death on May 26, 2009 after sixty two years of marriage. Rose left this world to rejoin Buford on June 17, 2014. Rose is also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers and twin sons.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosie Moore and husband Dick; two sons, Buster Jones and wife Barbara and Randy Jones and wife Lorena; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be all day Friday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00p.m., June 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Shaffer Funeral Home's Pioneer Chapel with interment to follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek.
