LILLIE DELMA COOPER

Lillie D. Cooper, 89 passed away Friday morning at the Atlantic Care Center where she had resided since July 19, 1982.

The daughter of Charles Edward and Clara Marie Leonard Cooper, she was born December 19, 1895 in Adams County, Iowa, and attended rural schools there. Her parents moved to Oshkosh, Nebraska, when she was 16 years old and she chose not to accompany them, and went to make her home on the farm with her sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Ernest Sothman of Cumberland. After their death she continued to make her home in the Cumberland area.

She is survived by two brothers, Ben Cooper of Hemingford, Nebraska, and Walter Cooper of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; a nephew, Vergal Sothman of Griswold; three nieces, Leona Johnson of Atlantic, Mrs. Orval (Clara) Sunderman of Griswold and Darlene Petersen of Cumberland; and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Esther Sothman and Hazel Marie as a small child; and seven brothers, Robert, Charles, Jess, Harry, Fred, Frank and Jay Cooper.
