Joseph Balloun was born in Czekoslovika, March 19th, 1859.
He came to America in 1882, and here he was united in marriage to Mary Hanzukova. To this union seven children were born, five sons and two daughters. The daughters died in infancy.
Mr. Balloun was a good father, an industrious law abiding citizen, and a member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife and five sons:Joe, of Bell, California; Anton, of Watertown, S.D.; Rudolf of Russell, Kansas; Van of Dardanelle; and John of Spring, Tex. Also by fifteen grandchildren.
Mr. Balloun lived in and around Dardanelle since coming to America. He departed from this world November 16, 1942 at the age of 83 years, seven moths, and 28 days.
