Landrum Medlock, pastor of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, and Bob Philley officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Interment January 28, 2006. Plot: Section H Lot 86 Space 2
Mrs. Weatherly was born July 17, 1915, in Byers to Claude and Maude Sharp. She was very loving and dedicated to all her family, and we would like to thank the many who loved and cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Tom Weatherly, in 1987; and a son, Johnnie Dale Weatherly, in 1944.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Matlock and husband Bill and Linda Willhite and husband Martin, all of Amarillo; four sisters, Ruth Rogers, Martha Boyce and husband Cotton, Gaynell Grissom and husband H.D. and Claudette Sharp; three grandchildren, Mandy Evans and husband Lane of Mesquite, Chad Willhite and wife Lourdes of San Antonio and Matthew Matlock, serving in the Army in Afghanistan; two great-grandchildren, Haley and Spencer; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Jan Werner Adult Day Care, 3108 S. Fillmore St., Amarillo, TX 79110 or Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 316 Valley Ave., Amarillo, TX 79108.
