He joined the US Air Force in 1958. Over his 26 year career in the military, he and his family lived in several locations around the world. He retired in Albuquerque, NM, in 1984.
He has been an active leader in the local Alcoholics Anonymous group for several years, where he was able to help many people find sobriety. His generous heart and patriotic spirit will be his enduring legacy.
Marcel is preceded in death by his parents, Doris Viola (Girard) and Charles Albert Mandeville of Woonsocket, RI; his wife, Rosemary Ann (Pearson) in 2001; and brothers, Lucien and Jean.
He is survived by his sons, Marcel and Phillip (Christyl); grandson, Brian (Shanna); sister, Bernice (Roy); and brothers: Maurice (Darlene), Paul, Albert, and Charles (Luann); also by Judy Mandeville and Margie Morel; niece, Michelle Garst (Paul); and numerous relatives throughout the northeast US.
