Deltona, FL, age 76 went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2014.

Harold was born in Orlando, Florida and graduated from William R Boone High School in 1956. He served 5 years in the U S Naval Reserve and 20 years active in the US Army, retiring January 31, 1980. He served at many Army Posts in the United States, Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for action in Vietnam and the Meritorious Service Medal upon retirement in addition, his other awards include: Vietnam Service Medal with Four Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm, Two Overseas Service Bars, Army Commendation Medal with Second Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal Fifth Award, Republic of Vietnam Civil Action Honor Medal, and Expert M-16 Rifle.

He was an Administrative Officer with Oklahoma Department of Corrections after his military retirement before moving back to Deltona, FL in 1999. Harold was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #30, Sanford, a Mason since 1967 and member of Volusia Lodge #77, Barberville.

Harold is survived by his wife Alice; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hightower and Nicole Marie Blair; grandchildren, Carrie, Travis, Aubrey and Lauren; sister Joy Hundley.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday June 16. 2014 6-8 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home where funeral services will be Tuesday 11 AM. Interment will follow funeral services with full Military Honors at Deltona Memorial Gardens, Orange City, FL.
