He married Frances Griswold Peck on 16 Oct 1901 in Staunton, VA.
They had four children: Mary Jeanette (Klein); Pauline Hume (Miller); George Alsop III; & Frances Dwight (Tybeski).
Dr. Sprinkel's obituary in Staunton's News Leader included: "He is survived by his father, Dr. George A. Sprinkel; his widow; three daughters - Mrs. Henry Kline [sic], of Chicago, and Misses Polly and Frances, both at home, in Richmond; one son, George III, who is a student at Washington and Lee university; and three brothers - Dr. A. Hume Sprinkel and Dr. R. Wilmer Sprinkel, both of this city, and Fred Sprinkel, of the Eastern Shore."
