Former Algoma Man Dies at 90 Years

Jule Moureau, 90, a resident of Algoma until about four years ago, died in a Green Bay hospital Tuesday morning after a short illness.

He was born in Walhain and farmed in the town of Luxemburg until he retired at the age of 62. He married the former Josephine Petitjean 64 years ago and she died in 1928 (sic). A year later, he married the former Mary Servais (sic) after which the couple moved to Algoma. Mrs. Moureau died four years ago and her husband moved to Green Bay.

Survivors include three sons, George and Harvey, Green Bay, and William, Muskegon, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Desire Wilquet, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Peter Skell will offer the requiem mass at 9 o’clock Friday morning in SS Peter and Paul Church, Green Bay, and burial will be in St. Martin’s Cemetery, Tonet.
