Meredith Laymon Snedigar, 89, of Modesto died at Memorial Medical Center. Mrs. Snedigar was a native of Iowa City, Iowa, and lived in Modesto since 1928. She graduated from Hughson High School in 1935 and acted as their historian and published a newsletter for the Hughson Union.
On Nov 11, 1937 she was married to Irvin V. Snedigar. She was a homemaker. She was a former regent of Major Hugh Moss Society, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, charter member of the Stanislaus County Genealogical Society and a member of several other genealogical societies.
She is survived by her caregivers, Fred and Betty Ward of Modesto and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin V. Snedigar; one sister,Leah and three brothers, Elmer G., Lawrence E.,and Robert G. Laymon. Private services. Burial at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, beside her husband.
