Hartford City, Ind. - Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones Mortuary at Upland for Eli Sasser, 83, retired Jefferson Township, Grant County farmer, and a native of Blackford County, who died Sunday at his home, west of Upland. The Rev. H. T. Walker, Montpelier, will officiate and burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, seven miles northwest of Montpelier, in Wells County.
Surviving Mr. Sasser are his widow, Rosetta, and one daughter, Mrs. Waldo Himelick, Jonesboro, R. R. 1.
Mr. Sasser was returned to his home a week ago last Friday from Muncie Ball Hospital, where he had undergone surgery. He appeared to be improving when death came suddenly, due to a heart attack.
