The sadness of Benjamin and Amelia Cone Wells had to have been very great, as they lost five children to death at young ages. We restored a stone for four of the children, none of whom were named on the gravestone. We did not find a gravestone for their brother, Charles Quincy, but believe with certainty that he is also buried at the Old Winchester.
