Mr. Arnold was a minister, a carpenter and a businessman. He attended Grace Baptist Church and Four Square Church in Botkinburg. Jim Arnold Sr. enjoyed working in his garden. He loved helping people and always enjoyed visiting with those he came in contact with. Mr. Arnold always witnessed about his love of Christ to everyone he talked with and often would be heard singing this song, "Oh what good would it be if I gained this whole world and be lost when I stand before the King…"
On June 13th, this world lost one of the greatest. Jim Arnold Sr. instilled in his children, grandchildren, and those he came in contact with, a ministry. This ministry was not taught through ordinary preachings and teachings, even though he did his fair share of both. Rather his ministry was taught through the way in which he lived his life. Through his exhibitions of love, kindness, and honesty, he taught many that God is in all our simple deeds and that we must find Him there in order to truly walk in the footsteps of Jesus. He will always be remembered as that pillar of strength when times were shaky and the fortitude to continue on when the storm was too much.
The family knows Mom/Grandma is happy to see you. We miss you and look forward to singing with you again someday.
Jim Arnold Sr. is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley (Littlefield) Arnold; daughter, Candace Lee Arnold; one infant son; siblings, Ruff Arnold, Opal Lee Taylor, Leona Coffman, Brough Arnold and Mary Sue Maples.
