Ruby Smitham Lindstrom Carlton, age 85, of Bellingham, WA, passed away Tuesday March 22, 2005. She was born December 15, 1919 in Big Timber, Montana to Ransom and Lola (George) Phelps. Ruby was a resident of Whatcom County for most of her life and was a 50 year member of the VFW. She was preceded in death by sons, Gary, Daniel, and Matthew Smitham. Ruby is survived by son Dennis and wife Julie Smitham; daughter, Carole and husband Paul Hopkins; daughter-in-law Lynnel Smitham; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister Edna Mobley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice 600 E. Chestnut St., Bellingham, WA 98225. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tues., March 29, 2005 in the Bayview Chapel at Jones | Moles Funeral Home & Cremation Service
