Mrs. Augusta Nikirk, 38 year-old wife of Dewey Nikirk of 330 South Jackson Street, died at 5:40 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Bloomington hospital of bronchial pneumonia. Funeral services for Mrs. Nikirk and her stillborn child, born during a postmortem Caesarean operation, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Bloomington Gospel Tabernacle at Third and Walker Streets.

The mother of three young children, Mrs. Nikirk was admitted to the local hospital Saturday. Her death followed a ten-day critical illness.

Officiating during the services will be the Rev. Ray Hoekstra of Indianapolis. Music during the rites will be provided by members of the church of which Mrs. Nikirk was a member and burial will be in the Clear Creek cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Carl, Homer, Stacey, John, Cletis, Marshall and Winfred Nikirk. Honorary pallbearers will be Omen Miller, Lester Wright, Millard Shields, Donald Reynolds, Leroy Johnson and William Branam.

Survivors include the husband, Dewey, who is a local grocery store clerk; three children, Donald William, Anna May and Phyllis Leon; the father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Branaman of Norman Station. Others surviving are two step-sisters, Mrs. Delphia Clements and Miss Mildred Baldwin; two step-brothers, Kenneth Baldwin and Berlin Murphy, all of this county,and two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Fross and Mrs. Joseph Fender, both of Bedford.

Until the funeral hour, the body will remain at the Nikirk home on South Jackson Street.

Helena Baker, Alma Thixton, Maude Deen and Rhoda Seaman served as flower bearers at 2 o'clock this afternoon during funeral services held for Mrs. Augusta Nikirk at the Bloomington Gospel tabernacle. The Rev. Ray Hoekstra of Indianapolis officiated and burial was in Clear Creek cemetery.

Mrs. Nikirk, the wife of Dewey Nikirk and a resident of 330 South Jackson Street, passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Bloomington hospital before giving birth to a child. She had been seriously ill with bronchial pneumonia for ten days.

Survivors include three children, two step-sisters, two step-brothers, two sisters, the father and step-mother.
