SERVICES SATURDAY FOR JOSEPH MENOSKY
Joseph A. Menosky, Sr. 84, of 3307 Mason St., retired Fint grocer and father of four well known athletes, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital where he had been in for 10 days.
Services will be held Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and burial will be at Calvary. Meanwhile the body will be at the home of his daugher, Mrs. M. H. Marzonie 3307 Mason St.
Mr. Menosky came to Flint 34 years ago and was a prominent grocer until his retirement a number of years ago. He was born Dec. 4, 1863, in Austria-Hungary.
He was father of Mike, now of Detroit, who was an outfielder with the Red Sox and Senators. Joe, Flint, a minor league baseball player and professional basketball player; Charles, now of Detroit, formerly prominent in local bowling leagues, and Paul, Flint, former City golf champion.
There are five daughers, Mrs. Marzonie and Mrs. Margaret Mackos, both of Flint; Mrs. Michael Knopic and Miss Marion Menosky, both of Midland and Mrs. Raymond McCombs, Detroit. Twenty-five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren also survive.

MENOSKY - Joseph A. Menosky, 3307 Mason St., age 83, died Wednesday April 23, 1947, at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9 A.M. Saturday April 26, 1947, from Sacred Heart Church, Fr. J. Blasko officiating. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Deceased will be at residence. Rosary will be said 8:30 P.M. Friday. Services by Dodds-Dumanois Co. Death was caused by complications following an illness of three weeks. He was born in Austria, Dec. 4, 1863, lived in Flint the last 24 years, coming from Arcadia, Pa; was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Holy Name Society; was a retired grocer. Surviving are: 5 daughters, Mrs. M.H. Marzonie of Flint; Mrs. Michael Knopic of Midland, Mich., Mrs. Raymond McComb of Detroit, Mich., Miss Marion Menosky of Midland, Mich., Mrs. Michael Mackos of Flint, Mich., 4 sons, Joseph and Paul of Flint, Michael and Charles of Detroit, Mich., 25 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
