George Bair Passes Away.

Word was received here Saturday of the death of Mr. George Bair at Garden City, Kansas. Mr. Bair left Iola in June for the West in the hopes that the change would be of benefit to his health. He stopped at Syracuse, Kansas and went to work on a ranch near there. His mother received a message from the hospital at Garden City Saturday morning stating that her son had just arrived there and that he was seriously sick and then just a little later they received another message saying that he had passed away. The body arrived over the Santa Fe yesterday at 12:15 and funeral services were held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Gardner of 520 North Third street today at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Mr. Wilson of the Free Methodist church Officiating. On account of the late telegrams received from his two daughters in Oklahoma, stating they would be here tonight the burial was postponed until Tuesday, when a short family service will be held and burial made in the Old Cemetery. Mr. Bair was 43 years of age and leaves an invalid mother, two daughters, two sisters and two brothers.
