Mildred M. Sharp, 92, died Friday, April 18, 2003, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Tulia with the Rev. Charles Davenport. Arrangements are by Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock.
Mrs. Sharp was born July 19, 1910, in Peach, Wood County. She moved to Tulia in 1923 and married I.C. Sharp on July 17, 1929. They lived for many years on the Sharp family farm in Castro County until his death in 1964.
Mrs. Sharp moved to Tulia and then to Lubbock, where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a 61-year member of First Baptist Church of Tulia. She served on the Benevolence Committee for several years and was a volunteer for the local Good Shepherd ministry.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her oldest son, Charles Sharp; a grandson, Joe Lynn Pierce; five sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be in the parlor of First Baptist Church in Tulia.
The family suggests memorials be to Tulia Cemetery Association, Box 116, Tulia, TX 79088.
