William was the son of Joseph Aldridge Junior and Mary Earl. Raised by his Maternal grandparents as well as his father. Travelled across the United States and finally settled in Alberta. Married twice. First wife was Mary Ann Davis , which he divorced. Both remarried and stayed married to their Subsuquent spouses. He had 3 children by his first wife ( Elizabeth , Joseph William and William ). These children stayed with their mother. William Aldridge Married Annie ( Anna ) Rolph on 18 Oct 1881 in Garden City, Rich County, Utah. They had 15 Children ( David, Mary Sophia, Oliver, Charlie, Albert, Elethine, Amy, Herman, Frank, Annie Diantha, John William, Sterling, Alexander, Alta Matilda, and Lettie). William was predeceased by 3 Children, William ( by his First Marriage ), Elethine and Alexander 9 By his second Marriage ).William and his son Oliver found the first Oil in Alberta in Cameron Creek, Waterton Lakes National Park.
Owned the first theatre in Cardston. He would play his fiddle up and down the street to let people know that the movie would be starting soon. When children could not afford a ticket they would get a little push into the theater. He figured no child should have to miss a movie. He passed away on 19 June 1916.
