Carolyn Bernita Christian departed this life on June 6, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on January 26, 1954 to the late Deacon James A. and Martha W. Christian of Madison Heights, VA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a her brother, James Junior Christian and one sister-in-law, Annie Deloise Christian.
She is survived by five nieces, Venus (Thomas) King of Madison Heights, VA, Janquil (Michael) King, Bonnie (Joe) Arnold, Sherra Christian and Kimberly Christian all of Inkster, Michigan and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1pm, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Scott Zion Baptist Church with Bishop David Slaughter, officiating and Rev. Gary Lee, eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family is receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Venus Christian King, 362 Elon Rd., Madison Heights, from 1 until 8 p.m. daily until day of service.
