Mrs. Jessie Tatham Bradshaw, age 100 of Hiawassee who passed away Tuesday morning, June 10, 2014 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.

Jessie was born in Franklin, North Carolina on August 4, 1913 to the late Charlie & Lola (Gribble) Tatham. Her folks moved to Georgia when she was only 3 years old. The family settled in the beautiful Woods Grove community, where Charlie worked a large farm and ran a grist mill. Woods Grove Baptist Church was the heart and soul of the community and was faithfully attended by the Tatham family. Jessie was baptized there when she was 13 years old and was the eldest living member of the church. Jessie married Neal Bradshaw in 1934 and the couple remained in the Woods Grove community where she raised two children. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday and was honored as the Towns County Commissioner proclaimed August 4th, 2013 as Jessie Bradshaw day!

She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, but especially missed by her family: daughter, Sandra Bradshaw Green; grandchildren, Michael Bradshaw, Julie Bradshaw Bennett & Andrew Bradshaw; and 7 great grandchildren. Many other extended family members also share in her legacy. Jessie was preceded in death by: husband, Neal Bradshaw; son, Earnest Bruce Bradshaw; her parents; brother, Glenn Tatham and sisters, Bertha Swanson, Bessie Clore, Ester Moore and Carrie Burch.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Woods Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Burch and Rev. Scott Sims officiating. Heartfelt Eulogies will be given by Bob Clore and Buzz Tatham. Special Music will be presented by Jerry Clore accompanied by Wayne Hundley. Interment will follow at Woods Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Rick Miller, Jake Bennett, Justus Bennett, Gene Youngblood, Mike Bradshaw and Buzz Tatham. Honorary pallbearers will include Nick Norwood and Randy McNabb. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 pm.
