He was born in West Portsmouth, Ohio, November 26, 1934, a son of the late Oakley Brown and Anna Lipp Brown, he was a member of Shepherds Chapel Church and attended South Shore Nazarene Church.
Preceded in death by one son, Timothy Brown, two sisters, Lenora Moran and Bernice Tuemler.
Surviving are his wife, Maxine Thomas Brown whom he married October 12, 1961, one daughter, Beverly "Tom" Potter of Greenup, Kentucky, one son, Michael Ralph Brown of Grazitt, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Brown, Timothy Brown, Jason Potter and Deana Hammond, six great-grandchildren, Timothy Brown, Shawn Brown, Allison Brown, Elisabeth Nikki Ferguson, Carter Thomas Hammond and Zackary Brown, one brother, George Brown of West Portsmouth, Ohio, one sister, Stella Birchfield of Arcadia, Florida.
Funeral services 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at the South Shore Nazarene Church with Rev. David Robirds and Rev. Norman Potter, officiating. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the South Shore Nazarene Church from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014, and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
