Janice Elaine (Johnson) Ewing was born on December 22, 1939 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to Harm and Mary Anne (Henze) Johnson. She was baptized and later confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. She attended Mountain Lake Public Schools and graduated in the Class of 1957. After high school she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and then to Los Angeles, California.
On October 10, 1964, Janice was united in marriage to Wayne Odell Ewing at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake. After their marriage, Janice and Wayne made their home in Los Angeles where Janice was a homemaker. Once Wayne retired, they moved to Tucson, Arizona where they continued to live until Wayne passed away in 2009. In February of 2010, Janice moved to Windom, Minnesota to live with her sister, Carol, before moving into Mikkelsen Manor and eventually the Good Samaritan Society - Sogge Memorial in 2011. She lived there until passing away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the age of 74.
Janice loved God and singing, especially at weddings and in the church choir. In the beginning of her marriage she loved to travel. Janice had many health problems in the past five years, but never complained. She will be remembered as a kind person and always giving.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Johnson of Windom; daughter, Julie Ann Ewing of Tucson, AZ; three step-children, Patty Robichaud and her husband, Paul, of Madisonville, TN; Terry Constant and her husband, Dan, of CA; and Dennis Ewing of FL; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five siblings, Ronald Johnson; Verona White and her husband, Thomas, of Waxhaw, NC; Alfred Johnson and his wife, Cindy, of Mountain Lake; Carol Arndt of Windom; and Leann Johnson and her husband, Geoff, of Windom; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harm Johnson and husband, Wayne Ewing.
