Beneath this marble are entombed the remains of MARY LOCKWOOD (Wife of William H. Lockwood) who departed this life on the 5th day of February 1818 Aged 22 years 10 months and 27 days leaving four small children all of too tender an age to be concious of their irreparable loss and mourned by a numerous circle of relatives and friends to whom evidence of her character had endeared her to the memory of one of the best of women this monument is consecrated by her deploring (?) husband
